Exodus 40:1-38 [+/-]

There is a difference, you know. There is a difference in churches. There is a difference among those who profess to be Christians. And I am not talking here about the differences that are due to the distinctive of certain denominations or traditions of the church. There are differences in worship styles. There are differences in polity. There are differences in the way places of worship and study are constructed. I am not talking about these kinds of differences which are often the result of the greatness of our God and the limited understandings of those who seek to worship Him. I am talking about the difference that is found in persons who profess to know Jesus and churches that profess to belong to Him but when it comes to the experience of His grace and the expression of that grace with a passion to know Him, to love Him, to serve Him and to honor Him; there is a difference. And that difference cannot be explained by personality profile, generational peculiarities, or cultural circumstance. That difference is the defining difference between people who profess to know Him and those who really do and churches that are really is and those that are just pretending to be. And that difference is set before us in the final chapter of the Book of Exodus.
